News during the beta

Kamerakollen is in beta. Here we gather what is new and what we have fixed, ten versions at a time. Found something that doesn't work? Get in touch – that is how the service gets better.

Version 3.212–3.221 1–2 November 2026My installations and digital inspection log5 news items · 3 fixed bugs

Delivered installations are gathered under My installations – for the customer in the portal and for you under a tab of its own in the hub – and the handover report and the as-built document are created and saved for the customer when you hand over. Intrusion alarm and camera get a digital inspection log with a QR code, fire alarm gets a sign for the installation caretaker and testing in the hub, and network drawings get their rack view.

New

Network

  • Network & rack for network drawings. The Network tab now has Network & rack for the drawings in Network installation too: the racks with height and occupied rack units, all equipment with make, ports, PoE, IP address and position, the mounting drawing per rack and the distribution list per switch port – in one place, with the connection diagram for printing.

Intruder alarm and camera

  • Digital inspection log with QR code. The inspection log for intruder alarms and cameras can now be kept digitally. A QR sticker goes on the control panel or recorder, and everyone named on the installer's certificate gets their own six-digit code – without a code, the page shows nothing. Alarm activations, fault signals with cause and action, tests, service visits and changes are entered there, even without a signal. Nothing can be deleted; a correction becomes a new entry. The alarm's annual inspection is entered automatically, the log can be printed, and for own-ambition installations it can be handed over to the owner, who manages the codes and the extension in the installation portal. Sold per installation for 1, 3 or 5 years.

Fire alarm

  • Installation caretaker sign. Under Documents you will now find the installation caretaker sign according to SBF 110:8 Annex E, in A5 landscape with red text on a white background, to be placed at the control and indicating equipment or the fire brigade panel. It takes the caretaker and deputy with telephone, on-call telephone, alarm receiving centre with system code, installation company and service company from the project. The same details, and the owner, appear in the basis for the installer's certificate, and anything Annex E requires that is missing is shown before the sign is printed.

Installation

  • My installations for the customer and the installer. When an installation is handed over, the customer is invited to My installations using the email from the handover. The browser creates the handover report and the as-built document – the drawing as a PDF from its own tool – and saves them for the customer, so there is nothing to upload or choose by hand. A box shows the steps while the page is working, until everything is saved for the customer. The customer sees the documents, the inspection log and your contact details. The company's delivered installations in all tools, with customer, documents and inspection log, are under the My installations tab next to Tools in the hub.
  • Change a delivered installation directly from My installations. In the My installations list there is an ✏️ Edit in … button for each installation in a tool where you have an active service. It opens the drawing directly in the right drawing tool so you can make changes and additions. Because a handed-over drawing is locked, the box first asks what is to be changed and reopens the installation. The customer sees Being changed until you hand over again – that creates a new revision and the customer gets the new report and the new as-built document.

Fixed bugs

Fire alarm

  • Fire alarm testing – monthly check, quarterly test and annual maintenance according to SBF 110:8 with an inspection log – was missing from the Fire alarm tab. It is now there as Fire alarm testing, and it also works without coverage.

Customer portal

  • Customers who only have installations with you were sent to the tools hub instead of My installations when they logged in, and an existing customer could not be invited to a new installation. Now the customer lands in the portal and can be invited to more installations.

Account

  • When an account was deleted, its installations and their test photos were left behind. Now they are deleted with the account, together with the documents for the customer.
Version 3.202–3.211 30 October – 1 November 2026The catalogues are checked against the manufacturers' datasheets6 news items · 5 fixed bugs

The catalogues for fire alarms, networks, intruder alarms and access control are now checked against the manufacturers' datasheets, and missing details – quiescent current, PoE budget, IP rating, range and much more – have been filled in after review. The intruder alarm knows which modules fit which control panel, large datasheets can be checked, and the AI handles more users at once.

New

Fire alarm

  • The catalogue is checked against the datasheets. The fire alarm catalogue is now checked against the manufacturers' datasheets. Missing values, such as the control panels' quiescent current, are filled in from the datasheets after review, so that the power calculation and the checks use the product's own values. Carrier's products get their datasheets and declarations of performance from the manufacturer's product database, so that they are included in the datasheet collection.
  • Control panels' quiescent current from the installation instructions. The control panels' quiescent current is rarely in the datasheet but often in the power table of the installation instructions. The check now reads the instructions too, so that more control panels get their quiescent current and the battery calculation uses the panel's own consumption.

Network

  • The network catalogue is checked against the datasheets. The network catalogue is now checked against the manufacturers' datasheets: ports, PoE budget, power, Wi-Fi standard, transmit power, antenna gain, cable category, shielding and fire class. Missing values are filled in after review, so that the coverage calculation, the PoE budget and the material list use the product's own values.

Intruder alarm

  • The alarm and access control catalogue is checked against the datasheets. The catalogue for intruder alarm and access control systems is now checked against the manufacturers' datasheets: standby, alarm and operating current, security grade, environmental class, IP rating, range, angle, sound level and the control panels' capacity. Missing values are filled in after review, so that the current calculation, the battery and the assessment against the alarm class use the product's own values.
  • Modules match the control panel. The catalogue now knows which expanders, keypads and communicators fit which control panel, based on the manufacturer's product line – for example that an Everon keypad does not work with Advisor Advanced, and that the Premier 8XE only fits the Premier Elite 24. Complete only chooses modules that fit, and Control panel and modules shows which ones do not fit and warns if one of them is selected.

AI

  • The AI handles more users at once. The server that runs the AI features has more capacity and now takes considerably more requests at once. AI design, reading floor plans and the datasheet check are therefore faster when many people work at the same time.

Fixed bugs

Fire alarm

  • 37 products in the Carrier list, including beam smoke detectors and sounders with several enclosure ratings, could not be added to the catalogue. Now all of them are included, and the products have the addresses of their datasheets and declarations of performance.
  • 44 fire alarm control panels from Aritech, Siemens, Kentec, Panasonic and Bosch now have their quiescent current, and their alarm current where the manufacturer states it. The values come from the manufacturers' manuals, so the power calculation now includes the panel's own consumption. Five accessories, including a mains cover listed as a control panel and a protective cover listed as a manual call point, are now under Other site equipment.

Intruder alarm

  • Carrier's detectors, magnetic contacts and access control products in the catalogue now have datasheets, and Bosch DS778 and DS794Z have the correct range (60 and 61 m). Previously the width of the detection pattern was given as the range, so the coverage on the drawing was too short.

Camera

  • Datasheets over 20 MB could not be read. This affected several Dahua cameras whose datasheets were 40 MB, as well as the Axis M4215-V and M4218. Now only the datasheet's text and pages are sent for reading, without the large images, and the check says why if a datasheet still cannot be read.
  • 30 Hikvision cameras with Smart Hybrid Light had no IR range in the catalogue. It is now filled in from the datasheets (30–60 m), and the DS-2CD2543G2-I(WS) has the correct resolution, 2688×1520.
Version 3.192–3.201 29–30 October 2026Complete in every drawing tool, documentation package and security audit10 news items · 3 fixed bugs

Network, fire alarm, intruder alarm and access control have a button that completes the installation once walls, rooms and scale are in place – equipment from the catalogues, cables, control panels, power calculation and addresses – and everything is undone in one step. All drawing tools can read the room names from the floor plan and deliver a documentation package with PDF, lists and DXF, and a box shows when the AI is working. The NIS2 documentation has a tab for security audits and security scanning.

New

NIS2

  • Security audit and scanning. The NIS2 documentation has a new tab, Audit, for MCF's regulations on security audits and security scanning, in force since 1 October 2026. A checklist shows what needs to be ready when the supervisory authority reviews the customer – several items are calculated from the documentation – and before a scan you note which cameras, recorders and control panels are sensitive. Audits and scans are recorded with their deviations, which go into the action plan, the Actions overview and the annual report. The security audit documentation is printed as a PDF.

Network

  • Complete the data network. In the new AI design add-on for network: once walls, rooms and scale are in place, one button does the rest – room type from the room names, outlets and access points until the rooms are covered, distribution in the technical room, cables within 90 m, a cable ladder along the corridor, switches and patch panels from the catalogue, placement in the racks, patching, VLAN plan and IP addresses. What is already there is kept, and everything is undone in one step.
  • VLAN plan and lists as CSV. Ports and IP has a VLAN plan with number, name, network and use, which is also shown in the distribution list. The IP list, cable list and distribution list can be downloaded as CSV, and the plan with the Wi-Fi coverage as an image (PNG).

Services

  • Coming soon. Services on the way are now shown with a Coming soon badge – in the hub, on Order services, on the pricing page and as locked buttons in the tools. Right now this applies to NIS2 and AI design for networks. They cannot be ordered yet, but you can read what they do.

All drawing tools

  • Documentation package. File → Documentation package (zip) is now available in camera, network, fire alarm and intruder alarm. The drawing PDF, the lists as CSV, the DXF and – in the network tool – the plan with WiFi coverage end up in one zip, exactly as when you download them one by one. A READ ME file says what is included and what was left out.
  • Room names from the floor plan. With the AI design add-on, the AI server reads the room names from the floor plan in network, fire alarm and intruder alarm too. Rooms called "Room 3" get the drawing's name, and the type follows the name with the same table in all tools – a server room becomes a technical space in the network tool, a technical room with the rules' requirements in the fire alarm and an IT space in the intruder alarm. The add-ons for fire alarm and intruder alarm are shown as Coming soon.
  • You can see when the AI is working. When the AI interprets the floor plan, reads the room names, places the cameras or completes an installation, a box with an animation shows what is going on, so you can see that the tool is working. If it takes more than a moment the box says so, and it can be hidden while the work continues.

Fire alarm

  • Complete the installation. In the add-on AI design – fire alarm: when walls or spaces and a scale exist, one button does the rest – room types from the names with the rules' requirements, detectors, manual call points at the exits, alarm sounders by audibility and sections. The control panel is chosen from the catalogue by how many loops the installation needs, with spare capacity on the loops, and placed at the entrance. If more loops are needed than the control panel's basic version has, the report states the loop cards. The loops are laid out section by section with addresses and loop routing, and the power calculation gives the battery and a check of the power supply. What is already there is kept, and everything is undone in one step.

Intruder alarm

  • Complete the installation. In the add-on AI design – intruder alarm: when walls or rooms and a scale exist, one button does the rest – room types from the names, volumetric protection in the rooms, perimeter protection around the building at doors and windows in the external walls, glass break in alarm grade 3–4 and detector models from the catalogue by the alarm grade's security grade. The zones are laid out according to SSF 130, two audible sounders are placed, and the control panel with zone expanders is chosen from the catalogue by the number of zones and placed in a room with volumetric protection. The zones and sounders are connected on the board's terminals and the power calculation gives the battery. What is already there is kept, and everything is undone in one step.

Access control

  • Finish the access control. In the add-on AI design – intruder alarm: door environments at the external doors and the doors to IT and OT spaces in one go. Locks and readers are chosen from the catalogue, external doors that are escape routes get a mechanical exit, and where the alarm is set and unset with a card there are readers with a keypad in alarm grade 3–4. The controller is the alarm control panel when access control is part of it, otherwise door controllers by the number of doors, and the power supply unit is chosen by the power budget. The wiring views are laid out from the terminal templates, and everything is undone in one step.

Fixed bugs

NIS2

  • The Audit tab now says "1 deviation, 1 open" instead of "1 deviations, 1 open".

All drawing tools

  • The AI server only sent the room names the camera tool knows (bedroom, kitchen, office …), so a server room, a conference room or a stairwell got no name in the network, fire alarm and intruder alarm tools. Now all names come along, and each tool sets the type itself. The documentation package also says “1 file” instead of “1 files”.

Camera

  • Complete the installation and Complete the network now add a patch panel, run the camera cables to it and patch the panel to the switches' PoE ports. Previously the cameras got no patch panel or patching.
Version 3.182–3.191 27–29 October 2026AI design, NIS2 and the Observe requirement level13 news items · 1 fixed bugs

The camera drawing tool has the new AI design add-on, which places the zones per room and around the building and completes the installation with switch, recorder, cables and IP addresses. NIS2 is a new service in the hub for installers whose customers are covered by the Swedish Cybersecurity Act: whether the customer is covered, the security system against the regulations with an action plan, supplier documentation and a contract annex, and the deadlines when incidents occur. Surveillance zones can be set to the Observe requirement level, and the annual inspections for cameras and intruder alarms have a section on cybersecurity.

New

Video surveillance

  • The Observe requirement level. Coverage zones can now be set to Observe (DORI, 62 pixels per metre) – following what is happening in an area, between Detect and Recognise. The coverage, the analysis and the documents use that level.
  • Monitor the whole house. In the new AI design add-on: a few questions about brands, security grade and requirement level indoors and outdoors – then the zones are added per room and in a band around the house. Bedrooms, bathrooms, WCs and walk-in closets become zones that must not be filmed. The room names can be read from the floor plan, and the cameras are named after the room and, outdoors, the compass direction.
  • Complete the installation. In the new AI design add-on: cameras you have placed get a model, zoom and direction, and a switch, a recorder with disks, cables, uplinks and IP addresses are added based on the number of cameras, PoE, bandwidth and retention time.
  • More rules in the AI proposal. The AI proposal now follows the 30° rule for identification, points no cameras straight at windows or into the wall, puts at most one camera in small rooms and handles up to 60 cameras. Indoors, indoor cameras are chosen first, and explosion-proof cameras are only proposed when the drawing has ATEX zones.
  • Camera system security. The IMY checklist has a new optional section on camera system security and NIS2: individual accounts, logging, a separate network, updates and whether the system is included in the risk management under the Swedish Cybersecurity Act. The section is not counted when the checklist is shown as done.
  • Cybersecurity in the annual inspection. The annual inspections for cameras and intruder alarms have an optional cybersecurity section: accounts, firmware, support period, logs, time, unknown devices, recovery and physical protection. The intruder alarm items are included in the report.
  • Security updates in the camera catalogue. The camera catalogue can state how long the manufacturer provides security updates for a model. The NIS2 documentation picks this up and warns about equipment that no longer receives updates.

NIS2

  • NIS2 – a service of its own in the hub. NIS2 has its own panel in the hub, like Camera, Intruder alarm, Fire alarm and Network, and is ordered for 1, 6 or 12 months – no other subscription is required. The panel has four tools: NIS2 documentation, Is the customer covered?, Incidents and Actions.
  • NIS2 documentation. The NIS2 documentation helps installers with the Swedish Cybersecurity Act and MCF's regulations on security measures: whether the customer is covered and as an essential or important entity, the security system reviewed in 20 checks with section references and an action plan, supplier documentation with the equipment from the camera drawing and how long it receives security updates, a system inventory with operating documentation from the drawings in all four tools, and the deadlines for early warning, incident notification, final report and notification to IMY if an incident occurs. Print the whole documentation, a contract annex with the security requirements, the system inventory or an annual report to the customer's management as a PDF.
  • Is the customer covered?. A quick check of whether a customer is covered by the Swedish Cybersecurity Act, for example before a meeting – the sector and size are enough, and nothing is saved. If documentation is needed, it is created with the answers filled in.
  • Incidents and actions for all customers. Two overviews gather all customers' open incidents with the deadlines to the NCSC and IMY, nearest deadline first, and all open actions from the action plans with the overdue ones at the top.
  • NIS2 on the Security page. The Security page explains how Kamerakollen relates to the Swedish Cybersecurity Act and what you can get from us if your customer sets requirements for its suppliers.

General

  • IT and OT rooms. The room type IT or OT room (server room, equipment room) is available in Monitor the whole house and in the intruder alarm. The room is monitored and gets volumetric protection, and the alarm analysis warns when it has no alarm – customers covered by the Swedish Cybersecurity Act must have surveillance and alarms there.

Fixed bugs

Video surveillance

  • The check of alarm-controlled PTZ cameras used half the pixel density for Recognise and Identify. The same requirement as in the coverage now applies.
Version 3.172–3.181 25–27 October 2026Wiring diagram, mounting plates and clearer camera documents9 news items · 7 fixed bugs

The intruder alarm now has a wiring diagram showing the whole connection from the panel's terminals via the junction boxes to every zone loop, with the junction box terminals in pairs and cable numbers that are the same in the diagram and the cable list. Cables are routed along the walls, larger installations can be built on mounting plates with a mounting drawing, and the power calculation shows the battery's standby time. The tables in the camera documents are clearer, and the camera catalogue has been checked against the datasheets again.

New

Intruder alarm

  • Zone terminals with one click. For control panel boards where the manual does not show the zone terminals in text, for example SPC5350, the board view adds Z1–Z16 with one click – check against the actual board.
  • Cables run along the walls. The loops are now drawn along the walls, the shortest way to the junction box or control panel – not across the rooms – and the cable list calculates the length along the same route, from device to device in the loop order.
  • Glass break at the windows. In alarm grades 3 and 4 the tool checks that windows and glazing in the perimeter have a glass-break detector in the room, unless they are more than 3 m above ground with no balcony, roof or stairs nearby – that is ticked under Perimeter protection. Suggest detector points places the glass-break detectors in the room corners, and the binder shows a Glass break column.
  • Battery operating time. The power calculation shows how long the chosen battery lasts, in hours and days, compared with the requirement for the alarm grade – also in the binder and the installer's certificate.
  • Connection diagram. Under Installation and in the binder there is now a connection diagram: the control panel's terminals, the trunk cables to the junction boxes, the boxes' terminals and the loops with the detectors and resistors in the order they are connected in series. The cable list now has the trunk cables and cable numbers (W1, W2 …) that are the same as in the diagram.
  • Mounting plates and mounting drawing. For larger installations there are now mounting plates under Create: place the plate in the technical room or the rack and mount the control panel, expanders, junction boxes, access control devices and own items on it. The mounting drawing shows the plate from the front with the devices, and it is included in the binder.
  • Junction box terminals in pairs. Junction box terminals are now numbered in pairs as on an alarm terminal block (1–2, 3–4 …): the supply on one pair with + and −, each zone on its own pair. The interconnection diagram shows the terminal numbers, the terminal block fitted in the box and the lid tamper contact, and older drawings are rearranged in pairs when opened.
  • ACRE SPC5350: supply and current. The power supply outputs OP1–OP5 on the SPC5350 and SPC6350 now have their 0V terminals in the board view, so the supply to the junction boxes can be connected with both + and −. The control panel's current consumption is in the catalogue, so the power calculation is complete.

Video surveillance

  • Clearer tables in the documentation. The tables in the camera documentation PDF fit the columns to their content and wrap long names onto several lines instead of writing over the next column. The cables are named W1, W2 … in the connection table and the cable list, and the document register has the same document designation as the title block.

Fixed bugs

Intruder alarm

  • When keypads and alarm transmitters were already among the control panel's modules, they were counted once more as separate rows without current, and the calculation was incomplete. Now they are only counted once.
  • Perimeter protection counted all doors and windows as part of the building envelope. Now internal doors are preselected as internal from the rooms in the drawing, and the openings get names such as External door Entré or Door Entré–Kontor.
  • In the board view, sounders and junction boxes can now be connected to the control panel's tamper terminal, and the cable list no longer includes a cable when the junction box tamper goes to a zone in the same box.
  • The masking requirement is only shown for PIR detectors, and suggested alarm points in the same room get unique names.
  • Names at the far right were clipped at the edge of the drawing area in the drawing, the PDF and the binder, and the resistor labels along a wall could overlap. Now the names fit and the labels are placed where they do not collide.
  • The orientation drawing showed loops and resistor values – now only the detector points. Junction box tamper defaults to a 24 h tamper zone of its own, and the check warns when it is in series with the detectors or on the panel's tamper input, which is usually meant for the panel's own lid.

Video surveillance

  • Some camera models had been given a smaller image format from the datasheet than the camera's largest (for example 1280 × 800 instead of 1920 × 1080), so the pixel density was calculated too low, and many models lacked an IP rating and the tele end of the varifocal lens. The catalogue has been checked against the datasheets again.
Version 3.162–3.171 24–25 October 2026The complete intruder alarm: manufacturers' ranges, zone wiring, tamper and cable list17 news items · 2 fixed bugs

The catalogues now contain the manufacturers' complete ranges of control panels, modules, detectors and sounders, and every wired control panel has a board with terminals to connect to. Zones are wired with exactly the resistors the control panel supports, the loop and the resistors are drawn on the plan, and the tool warns when resistors or tamper are missing. Sounders and junction boxes can be tamper-monitored, PIR detectors are suggested in the corners of rooms, and a cable list shows how many pairs and how much cable each device needs.

New

Intruder alarm

  • The manufacturers' complete ranges in the catalogues. Control panels, bus modules, keypads, alarm transmitters and power supplies from Aritech/Everon (Carrier), ACRE SPC, Texecom, Honeywell Galaxy, Risco, Inim and Bosch are now available in the intruder alarm tool, taken from the manufacturers' own product databases. Entries that have not been manually reviewed are marked "check against the datasheet".
  • More wireless systems. Texecom Ricochet, Inim Air2, Risco two-way and Honeywell's radio are now among the wireless systems, with the manufacturer's figures for range and battery where available.
  • Choose products on alarm points, sirens and terminal blocks. The alarm point, the siren and the terminal block now have a product choice from a catalogue of around 500 wired detectors, sounders and junction boxes from Alarmtech, Aritech, ACRE, Bosch, Honeywell, Inim and Texecom among others. The product gives the correct current in the power calculation and voltage drop, the siren's sound level, the terminal block's number of terminals and make and type designation in the parts list.
  • Products are checked against the alarm class. The check tells you when a selected product is certified for a lower alarm class, or has a lower security grade, than the installation requires (SSF 130 4.1.2 and table B), when anti-masking is ticked on a detector that lacks it, and does not count a siren that is only a beacon as an acoustic sounder.
  • Vibration detectors and hold-up buttons. The alarm point can now also be a vibration or seismic detector, for example for enclosing surfaces in alarm class 4, or a hold-up button. Hold-up buttons get their own zone and are not mixed with intrusion detectors.
  • Zone wiring and resistors on the zones. Each zone can now be unsupervised (NC/NO), single, double or triple end-of-line with resistor values. Only the modes and values that the selected control panel supports can be selected – the information comes from the manufacturers' manuals for some seventy control panels, and the factory default is suggested. Control panels that do not support end-of-line resistors can only have unsupervised zones.
  • The loop and the resistors are drawn in. Several detector points on the same zone, for example magnetic contacts on the windows, are drawn as a loop from the terminal or the control panel, and the resistors are marked at the detectors as alarm, masking and end-of-line resistors. The order in the loop is changed under Zones. The end-of-line resistor on the sounder output is entered on the last siren, and everything is included in the parts list, the DXF, the wiring diagram and the binder.
  • Warning when resistors are missing. The check warns in all alarm classes when a zone has no resistors, when the control panel does not support end-of-line resistors and when the sounder output has no end-of-line resistor, and gives an error for modes and values that the control panel does not have.
  • Sounder tamper on a zone of its own. On the sounder you now choose how its tamper is supervised: on the control panel's sounder tamper input, with the sounder output's end-of-line resistor or on a 24 h tamper zone of its own. With a zone of its own, the cable to the sounder gets one more pair and the sounder gets the zone's resistors, which are drawn and included in the parts list. In premises with an alarm class the check tells you when the tamper has not been stated or when the control panel does not supervise the output with an end-of-line resistor.
  • PIR detectors suggested in the corners. Suggest detector points now puts the PIR detector on the wall in the corner that covers most of the room, facing into the room – not in the middle of the room and not by the door. Large rooms get a second detector when one is not enough. The check warns about PIR detectors in the middle of a room, except ceiling-mounted 360° detectors.
  • Tamper on junction boxes. On the junction terminal you can now choose how the junction box tamper is monitored – on the control panel's tamper input, in series in a detector loop or on a 24 h tamper zone – and the check warns you on sites with an alarm grade when it is missing (SSF 130 5.21.1). The board view shows the zone wiring of the zones, and the wiring view shows which resistors are fitted at each device.
  • Cable list. Installation now has a cable list: one cable per wired device, with the number of pairs calculated from the detector and the zone wiring, and the length taken from the cable length or estimated from the drawing. The list is totalled per cable type, can be exported as CSV and is included in the binder.
  • Zone doubling for Inim. With an Inim control panel, two zones can now share the same input using zone doubling (DZ). The drawing tool sets the correct resistors in both zones, places the end-of-line resistor once at the end of the loop and warns you if the pair does not match.
  • Board view for more control panels. The board view now shows the control panel board with terminals for Texecom Veritas, Risco LightSYS 2 and ProSYS Plus, Bosch AMAX 4000, Honeywell Galaxy Dimension, Inim Prime, PrimeX and SOL, and ACRE SPCevo and AIC-1200 – based on the manufacturers' manuals. Every wired control panel in the catalogue now has a board to wire to.
  • Current values for the modules. Expanders, keypads and other modules now have standby and alarm current from the manufacturers' documents, so the current calculation is complete for more installations. Bosch keypads for AMAX and the B series are in the catalogue.

Access control

  • Aritech Advisor Advanced, Everon and Axon. The control panels with integrated access control, the door controllers CDC4 and ATS1226 and the ATS and ACI readers are in the access control catalogue with current figures and reader protocols.

Fire alarm

  • Ready-made list with the entire Carrier range. The equipment catalogue can import Carrier's entire fire alarm range – Aritech 2X/1X/FP2000, Kidde, Ziton, Kilsen, Apollo, Edwards, EMS and AirSense – with control panels, repeater panels, detectors, manual call points, sounders, I/O units and isolators. The list is machine-classified and lacks SBSC data; check against the datasheets.

Fixed bugs

Intruder alarm

  • In the zones' resistor choice, "(factory setting)" was shown on the first value even when the manufacturer states no factory setting. Now it is only shown when the manual states it.
  • Galaxy TouchCenter was called CP041/CP050 in the catalogue, but CP050 is the Mk8 keypad. The name has been corrected.
Version 3.152–3.161 23–24 October 2026Backups, the Prices page and major additions to the camera and alarm tools21 news items · 1 fixed bugs

Everything is now copied every night to a separate server. The camera tool got privacy masks, retention per camera, export to the VMS and a read-only link for the property owner; the intruder alarm tool got alarm transmission, the installer's certificate, voltage drop, detector coverage (which stops at the walls), authorisations, a response plan and perimeter protection. The alarm point can now select its camera in the same building, the board view only lets the right thing onto the right terminal, and the catalogue got the Galaxy RIO, ACRE SPC, the whole DSC Neo range and Ksenia lares 4.0.

New

Security

  • Nightly backups. Drawings, registers and uploaded files are copied every night to a separate server. The copies are encrypted before they leave the website, so they can only be opened by us when restoring.

Webbplatsen

  • The Prices page. All the tools on one page with what they cost, what is free during the beta and what applies to more users and technicians.
  • Preview when a link is shared. Links to Kamerakollen now show a title, a short description and an image when shared in LinkedIn, Teams or email, and the pages have a description in Google.

Camera drawing tool

  • Privacy mask per camera. Draw the area to be masked in the camera, or click Mask in the camera on a forbidden zone. The mask is excluded from the coverage, is in the documentation and is carried to the register and the balancing of interests.
  • Retention period per camera. Each camera can have its own retention period. The storage need is calculated per camera, and the register gets the longest period in the installation.
  • Camera list for the video management software. The address list can be saved in the format your VMS accepts: a Milestone file for import, addresses to paste into AXIS Camera Station, or a general list.
  • Labour in the quote. The bill of materials gets lines for mounting, commissioning and cabling with your hourly rate and your standard times.
  • Read-only link for the property owner. Share the drawing with a link that shows the cameras, the coverage, the masked areas and the retention period without logging in. The link can be closed at any time.
  • Warning when the camera is mounted too high. The tool tells you when the angle to the face is steeper than 30 degrees, so identification is not possible, and when the IR illumination does not reach as far as recognition requires.

Intruder alarm drawing tool

  • Alarm transmission per alarm class. Choose how the alarm reaches the alarm receiving centre – one or two paths – and the tool checks the requirement for the alarm class according to SSF 130 and includes the alarm receiving centre and transmitter in the documentation.
  • The installer's certificate as a basis. The binder gets a filled-in basis for the installer's certificate SSF 1058: alarm class, scope, alarm transmission, power and system manager from the drawing.
  • Detector coverage on the plan. The PIR detectors are drawn with direction, angle and range, and the tool tells you when a room is poorly covered or the detector sits outside the manufacturer's height.
  • Anti-masking and voltage drop. The check points out detectors without anti-masking where the alarm class requires it, and calculates the voltage drop on the cables to detectors and sounders.
  • Authorisations, response plan and perimeter protection. A user list with code checks according to SSF 130, a contact list and the action on alarm, and the doors' and windows' locks against the protection class in SSF 200 – all in the binder.
  • Detectors no longer see through walls. PIR detector coverage and camera sectors now stop at the walls. The coverage per room is calculated on what the detector actually sees.
  • The right thing on the right terminal. In the panel's board view it is no longer possible to connect a detector to the bus or a sounder to a zone terminal – the list only shows what fits the terminal, and the check flags anything already in the wrong place. The modules on the bus must be of the panel's make; the Galaxy RIO and the Galaxy keypads are now available as modules for Honeywell Galaxy.
  • ACRE SPC in intruder alarm and access control. The whole SPC range (formerly Vanderbilt) is now in the catalogue: the panels SPC4320, 5320, 5350, 6330 and 6350 with zones, areas, doors and keypads according to ACRE's product pages, the X-BUS modules, the keypads and the door expander SPCA210 – which is also the access control system's door controller with its own wiring view.
  • DSC PowerSeries Neo complete. The whole Neo range (HS2016, 2032, 2064, 2128) with zones, expanders, keypads, areas and current according to the installation guide, plus the Corbus modules, the keypads and the alarm transmitter TL280. Certified alarm class 2 (SBSC).
  • Ksenia lares 4.0 complete. All the lares 4.0 panels (16, 40, 40 wls, 140 wls, 644 wls) with zones, areas, keypads and expanders from the installation manual, plus the KS-BUS modules auxi, opis, divide, duo, the ergo keypads, the volo readers and gemino.

All drawing tools

  • The alarm point selects its camera. With the camera and alarm sheets linked to the same building, the alarm point selects which camera should show video on an alarm. The tool assesses whether the camera sees the point – floor, field of view, walls and range – and draws the camera's sector on the alarm plan. The camera tool shows which alarm points each camera verifies, and the binder's response plan gets the table Video verification.
  • The floors with counts. The building dialog shows the floors with their linked sheets and how many cameras, detectors, sounders, access-controlled doors, alarm devices, outlets and access points there are per floor and in the whole building.

Fixed bugs

Webbplatsen

  • "Read about technician management" and "Read about the register" led nowhere. They now go to the prices page and to the register's page.
Version 3.142–3.151 21–23 October 2026Kamerakollen in English, the Security page and screenshots in the handbooks6 news items · 0 fixed bugs

The whole service is now available in English, and you switch language with SV | EN at the top of the page. A new page explains how we protect your data and which security events we have handled, and the handbooks for fire alarms, intruder alarms and networks now have screenshots.

New

Language

  • Kamerakollen in English. The whole service is now available in English – the pages, the tools, the handbooks, the emails and the documents. The terms are shown as a translation; the Swedish version is the one that applies.
  • Switch language with SV | EN. The button is at the top right, next to Log in or My account. Your choice is saved on your account, and new visitors get the language their browser is set to.
  • Numbers and dates follow the language. Decimal separators, numbers and dates in the tools and documents are shown in the format used for the language you have chosen.

User guides

  • Screenshots in more user guides. The user guides for fire alarm, intruder alarm and network now show real screenshots at each step, just like the camera guide.

Webbplatsen

  • The Security page. A new page explains how the service protects your data and reports security incidents we have handled – what they concerned, what we did and whether you need to do anything.
  • An email if a security issue affects you. If a security issue should affect you, you will get an email from us explaining what it concerns and whether you need to do anything – in the language you have chosen.
Version 3.132–3.141 21 October 2026Pages for the tools and the demo without an account7 news items · 2 fixed bugs

Each tool now has its own page on the website, and anyone who wants to try can open the drawing tools directly in a demo with ready-made drawings – without an account. The user guides for camera and fire alarm now have real screenshots.

New

Webbplatsen

  • Pages for each tool. Each tool has its own page describing what it does, with images and buttons to create an account or open the tool. The home page shows the tools with images.
  • Try the demo without an account. The Try the demo button on the tool pages opens the drawing tool directly with a ready-made drawing – camera, fire alarm, intruder alarm or network. Everything can be tried, but nothing is saved. Create an account when you want to save your own drawings.
  • The demo session. The demo is a 30-minute session that then starts over from the initial state, with the Start over button in the demo bar. Each demo start asks whether you want to draw in simple or advanced mode, and the guide starts from the first step.

Hub

  • New since last time. The hub shows a line with the news since your last visit, with a link to the news page.

The demo

  • Demo statistics. We can track how many people try the demo and for how long, without storing anything about who – it helps us make the demo better.

Camera

  • The user guide with real screenshots. The camera user guide now has screenshots from the tool in all sections – zoom, dimensions, snap, the object tree, alarm simulation, lists, DXF, mobile, RAID, framework agreements, compass and backlight, among others.

Fire alarm

  • More images in the user guide. The fire alarm user guide has 22 new screenshots: Open, zones, coverage, the register sheet, numbering, multiple selection, measure, DXF, AI walls, cables, the test view, alarm log, power calculation, catalogue, circuits, installer's certificate and completion report.

Fixed bugs

Camera

  • The user guide described layer checkboxes above the drawing and a search box in the camera list – since the new look, both are in the object tree on the left. The text has been corrected.

The demo

  • The demo now asks Simple or Advanced at every start and begins at the guide's first step; previously a visitor could end up on the last step.
Version 3.122–3.131 19–20 October 2026Fire alarm according to SBF 110:8 and SBF 173:3, data sheets and the wiring view16 news items · 3 fixed bugs

The fire alarm tool has been reviewed against SBF 110:8 and the SBF 173:3 form, with new checks and a design specification that follows the form. The catalogues now have data sheets for most products, and the wiring view supports drag and drop and custom terminal templates.

New

Fire alarm

  • The design specification as the SBF 173:3 form. The specification has the form's 15 sections and the Coverage areas annex. Whatever can be read from the drawing is pre-filled, and what you tick and write is saved with the project.
  • New checks according to SBF 110:8. Red beacon outdoors at the entrance to the control panel, manual call point at the control panel and at the alarm log panels, walking distance to the nearest manual call point no more than 30 m, and visual alarm devices where background noise is high or hearing protection is worn.
  • Sound level at several points per room. The sound level is calculated at five points in each room instead of only in the centre. Suggest manual call points and sounders use the same calculation, so that large halls also get call points and sounders where needed.
  • Sharp floor plan in the PDF. If the floor plan is a PDF, the original is placed under the drawing when you export – sharp at all magnifications. With audibility turned on, each sheet also gets a page with the sound level map and a table of requirements, lowest and highest level, and outcome.
  • Mono-pitch roofs and asymmetric pitched roofs. Specify where the ridge is or which side is highest, and the row of detectors is placed there. The check also verifies that the row covers the whole ridge and that heat detectors are no more than 0.2 m below the ceiling.
  • The company's default products per brand. The default products you choose for a brand are saved for the whole company and used in the next project with the same brand.
  • The user guide with images. The fire alarm user guide shows the guide's steps, audibility, the design specification and the control panel's boards with screenshots.

Catalogues

  • Data sheets for most products. Manufacturers' data sheets are now available for almost nine out of ten products in the camera, fire alarm and network catalogues. If the manufacturer does not publish a data sheet, "No data sheet – link only" is shown next to the product, in bills of materials and in data sheet collections, with a link to the manufacturer's page.

Wiring view

  • Drag and drop between terminals. Drag from a terminal to a terminal on the other part and they are connected. Dragging the same way again removes the connection. Clicking first one and then the other works as before.
  • Custom terminal templates. If a power supply unit, keypad or module is missing from the templates, you can add it yourself: model, voltage, current and the terminals. The template is saved for the company and can be selected directly.

Alarm

  • The bus to modules and keypads. In the control panel's board view, each module and keypad gets a bus and an address. Two devices of the same kind with the same address on the same bus trigger a warning, and the bus is included on the connection board.

Camera

  • Switches from the network catalogue. Choose a switch model from the catalogue and the ports, SFP, PoE budget and height are retrieved. The number of ports can be changed, and the model is included in the bill of materials.
  • Network cards and racks in the PDF. Recorders and servers with several network cards can have a model and speed for each card, and the installation drawing has a box showing what is in each rack cabinet and rack.
  • Remove one balcony at a time. Areas that count as outdoors (balconies) can be selected on the drawing or in the object tree, renamed and deleted one by one – with Delete, right-click or in the properties panel.

AI

  • More doors and fewer incorrect walls. The AI that reads the walls from the floor plan finds more doors, including doors drawn only as a door leaf and swing arc, and no longer splits rooms at furniture edges and text.

Webbplatsen

  • News during the beta. This page: new features and fixed bugs, ten versions at a time.

Fixed bugs

Signs

  • The information page's contact form was cleared if the message could not be sent, for example because of a mistyped email address. Now the text remains.

Fire alarm

  • Around twenty fire alarm products in the catalogue (including from Schrack, Securiton and Autronica) could not be saved and were missing from the product selection.

Camera

  • The guide reminds you to add the doors when a floor plan has many walls but hardly any doors.
Version 3.111–3.121 17–19 October 2026All four drawing tools work the same way19 news items · 14 fixed bugs

Intruder alarm, fire alarm and network now have the same layout as the camera tool, with simple and advanced mode. The fire alarm tool has automatic placement and new documents, and the floor plan can be adjusted in all tools.

New

All drawing tools

  • The same way of working everywhere. Menu bar, step-by-step guide with “Done when”, the start option “How do you want to draw?”, Open dialogue with search, and keyboard shortcuts (press ?) – the same in all four tools.
  • Simple and advanced mode. Simple mode has the tools in a narrow column on the left and the guide on the right. Advanced mode has an object tree (Objects, Sheets, Steps) with search, lock and hide, and a properties panel for whatever you have selected.
  • Touchscreen and multiple objects. Pinch to zoom and drag with one finger to pan. Drag a selection box, Shift-click and move several objects at once.
  • Adjust the floor plan. Move, scale and rotate the floor plan (90° or fine-tune), or fit it using two points. Also works with the keyboard. File → Adjust floor plan.
  • Delete and restore drawings. In the Open dialogue you can delete your own drawings and undo immediately. Deleted drawings are kept in the recycle bin with the number of days remaining and can be restored.
  • DXF with the floor plan. The DXF export can include the floor plan as an image – you get a ZIP with the DXF file and the image, correctly positioned and rotated.
  • Tips in the guide. When a new step begins, a short tip is shown. Tips can be turned off in the guide or in My account.

Intruder alarm and network

  • Versions, PDF and DXF import. Version history, PDF in A3/A4 with title block and preview, DXF import and AI interpretation of walls are now available here too.

Camera

  • Balconies as outdoor areas. After the AI interpretation, rooms that can only be reached through windows (balconies) are suggested as outdoor areas. They are not counted as the inside of the building in the coverage.
  • Network and rack. Two links between the same switch and recorder are counted as one (LACP), blanking panels for free rack units appear in the bill of materials, and the recorder model from the catalogue is shown in the rack. The walk-through simulation shows the PTZ cameras' field of view.
  • Custom cameras. The vertical field of view is calculated from the horizontal one, and a power supply of up to 600 W can be entered.

Fire alarm

  • Automatic placement and suggestions. Detectors are placed automatically in stairwells and lift shafts and along the ridge of pitched roofs. New buttons suggest manual call points (at exits, stairwells and by distance) and sounders based on audibility.
  • New checks and documents. Voltage drop per loop, sounder areas, beacons at the fire and rescue service's access route, design specification and completion report with an annex for data sheets.
  • Two people working at the same time. A sheet that someone else has open is shown in read-only mode, with the option to take over. Autosave never overwrites a newer version.
  • Larger catalogue. Around 300 new products from Esmi, Aritech, JCI, KGS and Securiton, and more data sheets and sound levels for existing ones.

Network

  • Suggest cable containment. The tool suggests a cable ladder along the corridor and lets the cables follow it – one click, and one step to undo.

Intruder alarm

  • Wall types in DXF. The walls are placed on separate layers per wall type in the DXF file, and the PDF is written with å, ä and ö in the suite's typeface.

Privacy and security

  • Clearer information on cookies and statistics. A notice explains what the site stores in the browser, and you can choose not to be counted in the anonymous visitor statistics. The privacy policy lists all cookies.
  • Safer uploads. Uploaded files are checked by their content, not just the file name. Location data is removed from photos in the annual inspection, and the fire alarm's project images are stored privately.

Fixed bugs

Camera

  • The “Show:” layer boxes did not hide anything – now the layer is hidden and its objects cannot be clicked.
  • The perimeter guide's window could cover the guide and the Next button.
  • File → Open saved drawing showed an older list than the Open button.
  • A custom camera lost its data sheet when it was edited.
  • The suggestion about balconies disappeared after a few seconds.

All drawing tools

  • The tools became too narrow in the hub on wide screens.
  • The DXF import asked for layers over and over again when you did not answer.
  • The zoom bar covered the floor plan while it was being adjusted.

Fire alarm

  • Fit did not show the whole drawing, and the guide did not switch to the selected loop.

Installation

  • The “Move to installation” bar shifted the canvas a moment after start-up, so clicks could land in the wrong place.

Hub

  • The tabs were too small to hit on a phone.

My account

  • Storage could show higher usage than the account actually has.
  • The choice about industry statistics was hard to see – now in a separate, clear box.

Privacy and security

  • Profile pictures were fetched from an external service. They are now served from the site and nothing is passed on.
Version 3.100–3.110 13–17 October 2026Installation mode, project files and storage6 news items · 4 fixed bugs

A design can now be taken to installation with testing, self-inspection and handover. Whole drawings can be moved with a project file, and each account has its own storage.

New

Installation

  • Installation mode. Take a completed design to installation: testing per device with measurements and test photos, self-inspection, changes drawn in the same drawing with revision clouds, and handover with a PDF. The drawing becomes an as-built drawing and is locked. Works on mobile and offline. Applies to all four drawing tools.
  • Training list and signatures. A list of those who have received training, where each person signs with their finger or the mouse. The installer and recipient sign in the same way, and everything is included in the PDF.

All drawing tools

  • Project file. Export a whole drawing – all sheets, the installation and the test photos – to a file and import it again, in your account or in another account. Useful for backups and for handing over a project.
  • Choose mode in My account. The Drawing tools card in My account: simple or advanced mode for all tools, different modes per tool, or ask every time.

My account

  • Storage per account. The Storage card shows how much the account uses. The same floor plan is only stored once, and projects that have not been changed for a long time can be archived and downloaded as a project file.

AI

  • Doors and windows. The AI interpretation of floor plans distinguishes between doors, windows and openings. Click an opening to change its type.

Fixed bugs

AI

  • Table lines, drawing frames and title blocks could be interpreted as walls, and windows were rarely found.

Installation

  • The PDF could not be created (“jsPDF could not be loaded”). It is now loaded in advance and can be created even offline.
  • Uploading test photos gave an error. This also applied to images in the annual inspection and in the assessment.
  • The PDF became very large (several MB). The images are now compressed, and a typical PDF is under 100 kB.
